SARASOTA - Veterans Day is Sunday and local school children kicked off the weekend with a big thank you to our local vets.

The Annual Salute Ceremony took place at McIntosh Middle School.

Students from the Sarasota Military Academy were also on hand. They not only want to honor the men and women who have and still are serving our country, but they hope it will be a great learning experience about the meaning of patriotism.

Suncoast veterans were on hand to take part in the ceremony.
