Florida's Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Adrian Wyllie is returning to the Suncoast on Monday, August 4th. He's scheduled to appear at the Sarasota Brewing Company on Gateway Avenue from 6 to 7 p.m.
According to a recent Quinnipiac Poll, former Florida Governor Charlie Crist (D) leads current Governor Rick Scott (R) 45 to 40 percent. Wyllie received nine-percent support. Pollsters say Wyllie took more independent votes away from Crist than he did Governor Scott. Some analysts believe Wyllie could play the role of spoiler in the upcoming election.
Meanwhile, former Vice President candidate Paul Ryan (R) will soon be making a stop on the Suncoast as well. Ryan – a U.S. Congressman from Wisconsin – has a book signing scheduled for August 24th at 6 p.m. at Bookstore 1 in Sarasota. Ryan's new book “The Way Forward: Renewing the American Idea” looks into the state of the Republican Party, and what lies ahead.
