PALMETTO, Fla. – A valuable lesson was learned by ABC 7’s Linda Carson Tuesday: never turn your back on a goat.
She was at the Manatee County Fair in Palmetto recording a track for her story about kids that raise goats, when one goat decided that it was not pleased to have her in the pen – charging her and knocking her to the floor. It even came back for a second charge.
Thankfully Linda look the whole thing in stride and laughed it off. She says it didn’t even hurt.
She says she was also thankful to learn afterwards that the sawdust and straw that she landed on was fresh and the animals had not soiled it yet.
The associated video for the "goat attack" has since gone viral and Linda's encounter has been seen on all major news outlets, YouTube, many websites (including our own of course) and she's even been featured on Jimmy Kimmel Friday January 25, 2013 where she was awarded Kimmel's tongue-in-cheek "Excellence In Reporting" award! And finally, a planned interview on Good Morning America is to occur Saturday, January 26, 2013.

not only has Linda vs goat gone viral here in the USA, it is in the news in Greece.
We have satellite and get several Greek stations. Yesterday we saw the episode on the Greek news..
