Raycom Media owns 65 television stations across 44 television markets, including newly-acquired WWSB/ABC7.

Raycom is employee owned, one of the largest privately-owned companies in the country with a workforce of 4,800 employees.

Raycom Media President and CEO Pat LaPlatney says this new ownership will be a benefit to all ABC7 viewers and fans. "What Raycom means to WWSB is more resources to allow them to do a better job of covering the market."

Raycom Media has at its center a strong belief in the communities it serves and starting a dialogue with those community members.

"All of our General Managers do two editorials a week and they take up issues critical to the community and then we in turn invite response from those community members," LaPlatney adds.

We are still here for you in all the ways we have been before, on television, with mobile apps for news and weather, on OTT products like Amazon Fire TV, Roku and AppleTV, but you'll still see our familiar faces at community events around the Suncoast.

ABC7 is still here for you, in more ways than ever before.
