SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - New College of Florida Political Science Professor Dr. Frank Alcock says we won't be able to gauge whether the Singapore Summit was successful for months--or maybe years.
Dr. Alcock says he hopes North Korean leader Kim Jung Un keeps his promises, but he has a history of breaking his word.
"There is a history of the Kim regime agreeing to things and lying and twisting things," Alcock said.
Alcock also said the agreement lacked specifics.
"If you were to look at previous agreements (between the U.S. and North Korea) in 1994 and 2005, this one has less substance. You could refer to it as a 'nothing burger.'"
