PORT CHARLOTTE, FL-A man who went out for a motorcycle ride on Saturday reported that someone had stolen his motorcycle after it broke down in the northern area of Port Charlotte.

A Port Charlotte man reported that he was riding his 1986 Harley Davidson FXRS motorcycle from North Port to Port Charlotte when it broke down on him in the area of Biscayne Blvd and Ellington Street shortly after 1:00 pm on February 1.  When he returned a short time later with his truck and trailer to get it, the motorcycle was gone.

The motorcycle was black with a one-piece Corbin seat that had black flame stitching and a short passenger backrest.  The mirrors had skeleton hand frames.  The attached photograph is not of the actual motorcycle, but resembles the bike, except the stolen vehicle did not have saddle bags.  The tag on the bike was 18896L.

Anyone with information concerning the theft or current location of this motorcycle is asked to please call the Sheriff’s Office at (941) 639-2101, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
