SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - A former administrator for FEMA, will talk about lessons learned from Hurricane Irma.
The catastrophic hurricane caused widespread damage when it struck the caribbean and the state of Florida last September.
Although the Suncoast was mostly spared, Sarasota County officials are reviewing how well they responded to the storm.
Over the past few months, Fema officials and other emergency management experts have been putting together a report that targets the county's strengths and areas where there is room for improvement.
The findings will be presented to the sarasota county commission on Wednesday.
