An arrest in Missouri has ties back to Florida pertaining to a child abduction 13 years ago.
Officials in Chillicothe, Missouri say they arrested 60-year-old Sandy Hatte on Thursday and charged her with abducting her grandson over a decade ago after allegedly taking the then-infant away from his father while he was working.
Police realized the child was listed as “missing” after Hatte allegedly attempted to enroll him into a Livingston County school earlier this month. Officials at the school questioned guardianship, and then contacted police.
The father and son have been reunited, and Livingston's Sheriff’s Office says they are getting along well.
Police held Hatte in a local jail on a $25,000 bond.
