PARKLAND, FL (WWSB) -- The 19-year-old suspect who authorities say shot and killed at least 17 and injured more than a dozen others at a Parkland, Florida high school is expected in court today.
Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School will be closed until further notice.
Police say shooting suspect and former student, Nikolas Cruz, opened fired as school was close to being dismissed on Valentine’s Day.
Investigators believe the suspect pulled the fire alarm to draw people out of school to try and kill as many as possible.
Police are now considering the teen's troubled past, which features a variety of gun and violence-related posts on social media.
