SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - Today will be a transition day with most of the morning under mostly sunny skies. In the afternoon the amount of cloud cover will increase and lead to cloudy overnight skies. Todays high should be in the mid 70's with upper 70's inland. You will notice increasing humidity by afternoon.
After midnight the rain chances start to rise from about 40% to near 60% by early Wednesday morning. Because of increasing winds aloft, there will be a very slight risk that a few strong storms in the Gulf may move onshore with gusty damaging winds. That chance for severe weather is small but not zero. The rains should pass by mid morning and clearing take place in the afternoon with shifting winds and the return of sunshine.
Tomorrow night temperatures will drop and highs on Thursday will only be in the mid 60's.
