First Alert Weather: Some fog possible over the next few mornings with near record highs

SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - With high pressure off the E. coast of Florida we will continue to see E-SE winds throughout much of the day.  This will keep temperatures well above average through the weekend.

The high on Monday at the Punta Gorda Airport was 88 degrees! That is summer like and we saw a few summer like showers pop up on the sea breeze yesterday.

With a dying cold front moving overhead, we can expect a few more clouds around on Tuesday but we will still see some breaks in the clouds.  This will allow highs to top out near 80 at the coast and low to mid 80s well inland.

There will be a slight risk of a pop-up shower or two as the old frontal boundary hangs near by.

Fog will be the biggest problem over the upcoming mornings as there will be plenty of moisture and warm temperatures to allow for some thick fog to develop.

Have a great day.
