First Alert Weather: One more day of fairly dry weather then some rain moves back in

Sarasota, FL (WWSB) -  The dry weather will give way to better chances for showers and thunderstorms on Friday.

An upper level low pressure moving through the Florida Straits will bring an increase in our moisture supply which will in turn bring a much better chance for showers and thunderstorms through the weekend.

Temperatures will stay slightly above average (Avg. 86) through Monday with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 each day.  Lows will be in the low to mid 70s each morning.

There are no serious cold fronts on the way at this time so don't expect much of a cool down anytime soon.

In the tropics we now have our 10th hurricane of the season.  Ophilia became the 10th consecutive hurricane in the 2017 season.  This ties a record last set back in 1893.

Elsewhere all it quiet in the tropics.
