SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - An active cold front will pass the area today and produce spotty to isolated showers between 7am and 10am. Then in the mid morning slow clearing will take place. We will see the sun this afternoon but temperatures will have a hard time rising due to a cool north wind behind the front. This wind will cause a Small Craft Advisory and Rip Current Advisory to be in effect. The rain chance in the morning will be about 40%.
Tonight will be mostly clear and cooler with morning lows falling into the low 50's or upper 40's. We will have a dry but cool Thursday and Friday with another chance for showers Sunday into Monday.
