First Alert Weather: Keeping an eye on tropical disturbance in W. Caribbean

SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) -  The National Hurricane Center is watching an area in the W. Caribbean for the possibility of tropical development.

Right now there is no chance for developing over the weekend, but by early next week there is a 40% chance of an area of low pressure popping up.

This is down from 50% yesterday due to the fact that it will be moving slowly West over Central America.

There is a small chance this could get into the SW Gulf by midweek next week and develop.
