FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Grab your jackets as Winter comes back to Florida

Sarasota, FL (WWSB) -  With the passage of a cold front on Friday much cooler weather can be expected over the weekend.

Winds will be brisk out of the NNW throughout the day will make for a chilly day.  Highs on Saturday are expected to hang right around 60 through the day.

Lows tonight will be cold with temperatures dropping into the upper 30's inland and low 40s near the coast.

Sunday we can expect mostly sunny skies but still cool with a high in the low 60s.

Temperatures will gradually warm under mostly sunny skies through the early part of next week but still below average (avg. 71). 

A dry cold front will move through late on Wednesday bringing in another shot of cold air our way.

High temperatures on Thursday will once again struggle to get into the 60s.

Long range models are suggesting a warming trend during the latter half of the month.
