SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - High pressure will direct winds out of the northwest today and keep our temperatures well below average. Despite the sunshine today we will see high temperatures run 10 to 15 degrees below average. This cool trend will carry on into the night with low in the upper 40's closer to the coast and mid to lower 40's inland. The northwest wind will also bring dry air into the Suncoast and keep afternoon humidity low, which combined with the breezy winds will cause a high wildfire risk. A red flag warning is up for most all of Florida. The onshore wind flow will also make for a high danger of rip currents.
