MANATEE COUNTY, FL (WWSB) - According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Joseph Michael Clark II, 39, was killed on Monday, Feb. 26 when he was ejected from his vehicle.
FHP says Clark was headed Southbound on I-275 around 11:47 p.m., when he failed to negotiate the left turn to the south Skyway Bridge rest area.
Clark's vehicle hit a sign and began to turn over several times, causing him to be ejected onto the grass shoulder.
The police report states that Clark wasn't wearing his seatbelt and was driving a 2016 Hyundai Accent at the time of the incident.
The incident is still under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
