SARASOTA - The engineering firm given the task of fixing Sarasota's Lift Station No. 87 has been studying problems that have occurred for the last three months.

McKim and Creed will offer its recommendations Wednesday night in a public meeting.

The city paid the firm $1.1 million to figure out what went wrong, and how to fix it.  The last firm, Aecom Incorporated, never completed the job.  The project stalled, and the city is suing to recover its losses.

The entire lift station is expected to be done by August 2015.
