Early voting for primary election begins Saturday, Aug. 16

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Early voting for the August 26, 2014 Primary Election will begin on Saturday, August 16 and continue through Saturday, August 23, Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Kathy Dent announced today.

During the early voting period, eligible voters may cast their ballots at any of the three supervisor of elections offices in Sarasota, Venice and North Port between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily.

SOE office locations are:

• Sarasota County Terrace Building, 2001 Adams Lane, Sarasota

• R.L. Anderson Building, 4000 Tamiami Trail S., Venice

• Biscayne Plaza, 13640 Tamiami Trail, North Port

Florida Law requires voters to present photo and signature ID upon entering the polling place and prior to voting. A voter who appears at the polls without photo and signature ID will be allowed to vote a provisional ballot.
