Deputies: 4 suspects escape from cops and crash into deputy's vehicle

SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - Four men have been arrested in connection with two residential burglaries that happened on Tuesday, April 24. 

According to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, the burglary was reported in the 6500 block of Gold Finch Street around 11:30 a.m. 

Deputies say the four suspects were standing inside the victim's lanai and then fled when a citizen approached them. The citizen followed the suspects vehicle south to Laurel Road in Nokomis and deputies pursued the car on I-75 Northbound. The suspect's car eventually stopped when it rammed into a deputy's vehicle near the University Parkway exit. 

Deputies say they recovered a wooden jewelry box and two firearms from the suspects. 

20-year-olds Charles Jackson and Marcus Bradley, as well as 19-year-old Tyler Summerall all remain in custody today on $15,000 bond each. The driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Tai Langston, also faces a single count of Fleeing to Elude and is being held on $22,500 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
