BRADENTON, FL (WWSB) - Bradenton Christian school had an unexpected visitor that forced them to go on lock down on Friday morning.
Bradenton Police Department responded to a call around 8:22 a.m. of a suspect threatening to shoot and making bomb threats.
According to police, Jason Wilkinson was arrested for making bomb threats and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
Reports say that Wilkinson entered the car drop off lane and made threats before fleeing.
An off-duty officer at the school was able to obtain the suspect's license plate before driving off.
Superintendent, Mr. Vande Pol sent out an email to parents saying there will be heavy police presence throughout the day.
The lock down has been lifted and the 24-year-old was caught miles away from school by Bradenton Police.
