Bradenton Police investigating suspicious incident involving teen

BRADENTON, FL-On Monday, February 10, 2014, at approximately 8:45 a.m., a thirteen year old student was waiting at her school bus stop located in the 3400 block of 51st Street West when she was approached by a silver four door vehicle. The driver of the vehicle motioned to the juvenile to approach him as he asked how old she was and where she went to school. The juvenile was able to quickly leave and go home and report the incident to her parents. The vehicle left the area and was last seen turning into G.T. Bray Park. The driver of the vehicle was described as a Black Male, 30 – 40 years of age, with short hair. He had a small tattoo near his left eye and gold teeth, and was last seen wearing a white shirt.

Police request parents to please remind their children of the dangers of unknown persons approaching them while going to or from school, and for their children to notify a school official or law enforcement officer immediately if such an incident occurred to him/her.
