Bradenton man robbed by crooks on bicycles

BRADENTON,FL-  The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is looking for three men that robbed another man as he was walking to the grocery store.

It happened around 10 p.m. Thursday night at the 1500 block of Flamingo Blvd. in Bradenton.  According to a Deputies report, the victim, Robert Bowlby was walking down the street when approached by three men on bicycles.  One of the suspects rammed his bike into Bowlby and then punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground.  The suspects then demanded money.  Bowlby took the money out of his pocket and put it on the ground.  The suspects took the cash and rode away.

The victim was not seriously injured and investigators are looking for the three suspects.

    How can Bradenton be considered one of this country's friendliest cities with so much violent crime on such a regular basis? Very confusing.
