BRADENTON, Fla. -- A Bradenton man is facing charges of child neglect after a wellness check on two children finds them living in deplorable conditions.

It happened on Friday afternoon at the business known as "Empire Tattoo" located at the 5000 block of 14th St. w.  According to a Sheriff's Office report, deputies were called to conduct a well fare check on two children, ages 2 and 7, at the tattoo business.  When deputies arrived they found the kids living in deplorable conditions.  Numerous used syringes and other drug paraphernalia were found on the floor and strewn about.

An employee at the business, 39-year-old Rich Rowland, who was watching the children, was arrested on child neglect charges.
