Braden River teacher receives international recognition

BRADENTON- A Braden River High School teacher has received the Teacher Excellence Award from an international organization.

Gil Burlew teaches technology and engineering at Braden River.  He received the highest honor given in that area of education by the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association at its 76th Annual Conference in Orlando.

Burlew has been teaching technology and engineering for 34 years- 9 of which have been at Braden River.  He is Board President of the Florida Technology Student Association.
