MANATEE COUNTY, FL- A battle is brewing between two Manatee County Commission Candidates.
According to published reports, candidate Corie Holmes recently filed an election fraud complaint with the Supervisor of elections, against candidate Charles B. Smith.
Holmes alleges Smith's parents requested absentee ballots be sent to them at Smith's home. Holmes believes Smith aided and abetted this activity even though tax records stat Smith's parent don't live at the residence.
Both candidates are running as democrats for the District 2, County Commission seat. The winner of the primary election at the end of the month will move on to the November election.
