BRADENTON, FL-  A Barred Owl found in a residents yard and taken in by Matthew's Wildlife Resuce, will release the owl back into the wild.

The baby owl will be put into a new nest and placed in a tree.  Rescuers plan to introduce the owl to its new home on Friday.

The Barred Owl is a large typical owl native to North America. Best known as the Hoot Owl for its distinctive call, it goes by many other names, including Eight Hooter, Rain Owl, Wood Owl, and Striped Owl.
