PARRISH, FL - A new environmental study by the U.S. Coast Guard is recommending a new bridge to cross over the Manatee River on Fort Hamer Road.

The study comes on the heels of a new report that shows 11% of Florida's roads are in poor condition, and 2% are structurally deficient.

ABC 7 Reporter Trevor Shirley is looking at the potential cost and benefits of  a new bridge.
