The Philadelphia Sports Writers Association's annual awards banquet was held Monday night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, N.J., and Mario Tobia was honored alongside such pro sports heroes as Cole Hamels, Mike Trout and Jimmy Rollins. Tobia, a former two-sport athlete at Cinnaminson High who lost his eyesight at age 50 but has continued to golf at a high level for the last 7 years, was named the PSWA's Most Courageous Athlete for 2012.
