FLORIDA- People United for Medical Marijuana is celebrating a mile stone.  The organization has collected more than 100,000 petition signatures in hopes of getting medical cannabis legislation on the ballot.  The signature will trigger a supreme court review of the legislation.  The organization has suspended its paid petition collection process until after that review.

Efforts to prevent the legalization of the cannabis are also in the works.   Organizations like Manatee County Substance Abuse Collision has been working to get the word out about the dangers of the drug.  The group saying negatives like addiction and abuse by those not needing the drug medically as reason to prevent it's legalization.

Coming up on ABC-7 at 5:30 we look at the debate.

It's has been a debate for a while. As a health professional caring for people who have advance diseases. Many patients do report many benefits from the use of it. The pill form can be costly and less effective according to patients that have utilized it for symptom management with terminal diseases such as cancer and MS

    yaaa on medical marjuana vicfories.

Anyone who saw the documentary narrated by Morgan Freeman on the subject of the war on drugs..must wqish AS I do that we end trhe war on drugs....We have thrown billions maybe trillionas on it..And we are losing the war. De criminalise drugs, treat it aas a medical problem which it is.

Other countries are now successfully doing this..IT WORKS...

Our prisons will substantially empty and we will save huge pots of money...OUR TAX PAYER
MONEY on a war we cannot win.

This is supportewd by Prwes Clinton and presidents of many countries....Our politicians are too scared that they will lose campaign funds if they DARE support this

U urge all media to keep this ball rolling and pleaSE run the Morgan Freeman documentary...

    Regards

    Anne
