Many questions remain over future of Warm Mineral Springs

NORTH PORT, Fla. -- With local governments at an impasse over future management of North Port's Warm Mineral Springs, the popular attraction could possibly be shut down for a 2nd year in a row.

The City of North Port and Sarasota County, which jointly own the property, disagree on which management company should take over on a long-term basis.  The current short-term contract expires on August 31st.

If another agreement is not reached by then, the spring -- which was forced to close in July 2013 before reopening earlier this year -- could be shut down again.

Is it time for one of the governments to sell their share of the property?
