ENGLEWOOD, Fla. - Event organizers say the race was a success but some business owners near Englewood Beach say business was down or about the same.

Race organizers were hoping for up to 80,000 onlookers. The numbers are not in but most concede it was not near that many.

At least one restaurant owner says they lost money because regulars were kept away. Other business owners telling us it's already their busy time of year so the impact was minimal if at all.

Race organizers say parking and traffic went smoothly and they are hearing mostly good things from those who came to watch. They do say the race next year will be after Easter which should help.

We will have much more on this story coming up this evening on ABC 7 @ 5:30.
