A Veteran’s Day Flag Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11th at 8:00 am, will take place at Doctor's Hospital of Sarasota, honoring the veterans of our community and nationwide.

The men and women whom have served in the U.S. Armed Forces for their bravery and dedication to our country will be recognized on this National holiday.

The flag that will be presented is in honor of Veteran’s Day and in memory of Chaplain Lionel Nelson. Chaplain Nelson, Captain, U.S. Army Air Corp Chaplain served his country during World War II before serving as Chaplain at Doctors Hospital for 37 years. The flag was presented to his family by the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Doctors Hospital is proud to fly this flag on this special day to honor his service on his family’s behalf.

The ceremony is open to the community and we welcome all veterans and their loved ones to attend at the flag pole at the front of the hospital campus.
