TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - If you're planning on doing anything with sun exposure this Independence Day weekend, you need to make sure you're protecting your skin.

We were joined by Dr. Marc Inglese from the Dermatology Associates of Tallahassee to talk about a few things you may not know relating to sun screen and your skin.

Dr. Inglese told us about how if you don't apply sunscreen properly, you can reduce it's effectiveness by 25%.
