Memorial day weekend is typically a good time to get your garden going. But, keep this in mind; gardening can be as fun for children as it is for you.

Gardening is a roundabout way to get your kids to eat more nutritious foods by allowing them to plant those foods themselves.

It may peak their interest a little more, then let them clear a space, dig the holes, plant the seeds, and water.

Also allow them to make the space their own by putting up a sign or colored rocks to decorate.
