SARASOTA, FL - The federal government's partial shutdown is leaving local beer brewers a bit dry.

The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau normally approves new breweries and recipes, but they have been forced to halt many services.

Now a popular and expanding craft beer industry here on the Suncoast will likely feel the impact.

ABC 7 Reporter John McQuiston will have more on the story.
