SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - All ended well after some tense moments in Gillespie Park Friday, as the fate of a feline hung in the balance.
A cat was reported stuck in a tree at the popular park, when a city contractor came to the rescue with a bucket truck.
According to the City of Sarasota, several rescue attempts resulted in the cat retreating farther up the tree.
That's when a worker with Gorilla Kleen, a pressure cleaning company who has a contract with the city, was able to rise to the occasion in a bucket truck and coax the kitty out of the tree.
Thanks to local biz & City contractor @GorillaKleen! They volunteered to rescue a cat stuck in a tree in the Gillespie Park Neighborhood when other rescue attempts scared the feline further out of reach. Cat is now home safe.
