ENGLEWOOD, FL - Families make up most of the homeless population that lives in South Sarasota County.

There is a big need for a housing facility that can help them get back on their feet, according to Dr. Robert Marbut.

One of the proposed sites is an unused apartment complex in Englewood.

However, some people who live near it, are telling officials to find another location for the homeless families in need.

7 South Newsroom Reporter Josh Taylor is following the story.
