The Perlman Music Program Suncoast invites young violinists, ages 8  to 18, to audition for the opportunity to play with Itzhak Perlman himself.

Auditions will be held Saturday, September 7, at Booker Middle School, starting at 1 pm. But you must have an appointment and a recommendation from your teacher. For more information and to get an application, go to www.PMPSuncoast.org.

The program is free. It's a new addition to the Perlman Winter Residency Program. The Winter Residency brings the best of the best music students for all over the world to Sarasota to study under Perlman and other renowned facility members for two weeks. The Suncoast students chosen, will attend  two workshops, and then they will play in concert with the Winter Residency students under the direction of Itzhak Perlman  on January 2nd.
