George Clooney startles an 87-year-old fan in Britain by showing up at her assisted living facility with flowers and a card to wish her a happy birthday.
The 55-year-old star popped in for a chat and a picture with admirer Pat Adams on Sunday at the Sunrise of Sonning Retirement and Assisted Living Facility in Reading.
Eighty-seven year-old Adams said that she had always wanted to meet the Hollywood star.
"I had heard so much about him, but I wanted to meet him, and he was charming," she said.
Linda Jones, a worker there sent a letter to Clooney asking if he could make a "dream to come true."
Jones wrote: "The lady in the picture, loves George Clooney and mentions everyday how she would love him to meet him, especially as he lives so near to where I work."
The Oscar-winning A-lister lives nearby in Sonning with his wife, Amal.
Adams says she's hoping Clooney - who's about to become a father - will come back and visit with his children.
"He might even bring the babies in with him. Who knows? And I love new babies. They're gorgeous. And I wish him well with them, because he's a very nice man."
A picture of the beaming pair was posted on Facebook.
