Bark in the Park series kicks off Friday with a costume contest

The My Suncoast Bark In The Park series kicks of Friday, April 15, for dog lovers around the Suncoast.

Each day in the series has a new adventure baseball fans and their barking buddies will enjoy: 

April 15, 6:30 p.m. - 1/2 Way To Halloween doggy costume contest. The Marauders play the Lakeland Flying Tigers. 

May 21, 6:30 p.m. - Adoption Night, super hero night.

June 16, 6:30 p.m. - Yappy Hour and Thirsty Thursday.

July 24, 1 p.m. - Pups Run the Bases post game.

August 28 , 1 p.m. - Pups Run the Bases post game.

On Friday, April 15, the 1/2 Way to Halloween event features a Ballpark Treat or Treat sponsored by LaPensee Plumbing & Pools. 

The first 750 fans to enter McKechnie Field on April 15 will get a free T-shirt. 

The Humane Society of Manatee County will receive proceeds from the $2 Bark Badge. The Bark in the Park series is presented by ABC 7 WWSB.

Tickets are from $6 to $10 depending on seating.

Pooch Rules

All dogs must be on a leash at all times. They must have current vaccinations and be well mannered around other dogs and people. Aggressive dogs may be denied access.
