Rare bird returns to the air

SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. - A rare bird to the area was released back into the wild on Siesta Key Wednesday following its rehabilitation.

A short-eared owl had recently been found injured on Siesta Key. The Wildlife Center of Venice took in the bird until it was healthy again, and Wednesday they released it back to the special place where it was found.
