Hole #10 on the West Course at Laurel Oak Country Club is a long and strong par 4 to start off the back nine.
The hole measures 442 yards from the tips and is a dogleg right with water off the tee and wetlands down the right side. There is a fairway bunker at the corner of the dogleg, which brings about a tough choice.
You can try to cut the corner with your drive, bringing the bunker and wetlands into play, or play it safe down the left side, adding considerable distance to your approach shot.
Laurel Oak’s outstanding facilities include two championship golf courses crafted by Gary Player.
The West course was redesigned by Rees Jones, the famed "U.S. Open Doctor", in 2005.
The club has just begun a complete restoration project of the greens on the East Course and is adding new irrigation as well.
