As a food-centric event, designed to bring the Sarasota community together, this event will feature some of Sarasota’s best chefs and local farms, including Chef Chair, Christian Hershman, who will design and prepare a creative, delicious, and nutritious meal for our guests, all while raising awareness and funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This unforgettable evening will include cocktails, entertainment, dinner, live and silent auctions, and a special testimony from a St. Jude patient, hosted at Michael’s on East.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. In fact, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened in 1962.
WHY: St. Jude is where doctors often send their toughest cases because St. Jude has the world’s best survival rates for some of the most aggressive childhood cancers. St. Jude freely shares the breakthroughs it makes, so every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Thanks to the generous support of donors who attend fundraisers like this one, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
