3/29/13 - Lunch with Chef Judi: Full Belly Burgers

  • 0

Full belly Burgers started at the Farmer’s Market and now is store front in Lakewood Ranch.

It’s a family affair with Pinky, (mom) and her two sons working both the farmers market and the new restaurant.

This aint your healthy option folks. My favorite is the Angus cheddar bacon. The cheese is stuffed into the burger. There is also a Chipotle black bean veggie burger, but between the Bleu cheese and Bacon and The Matty Melt (bacon and …wait for it- all natural peanut butter) this place is comfy all the way.

Italian Burger:

2.5 pounds ground beef

4 tsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tbsp minced onion

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp granulated garlic

½ cup sun dried tomatoes

1 cup chopped spinach

2 tbsp shredded mozzarella

Mix Worcestershire sauce and tomatoes and spinach into meat, then add all dry ingredients.  Weigh out to 3.2 ounces each. Flatten one ball, place cheese in center, layer with 2nd ball and form together.
