A simple marinade makes for delicious grilled lamb shops. Simplicity is my theme for labor day weekend
A little orzo or couscous salad with fresh thyme and lemon and platter of grilled veggie kabobs, roasted corn and a few bags of Tate’s chocolate chip cookies on thr go and you can head to a beach picnic at sunset or enjoy a relaxing day by the pool.

2/3 cup olive oil
2/3 cup fresh lemon juice
¼ cup pure maple syrup
10 cloves cup chopped fresh garlic
½ cup fresh thyme leaves
¼ tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper
2 cups cooked orzo or couscous
In a medium bowl mix oil lemon juice and maple syrup. Whish in garlic, thyme leaves salt and pepper and crushed pepper
Marinate for 1-4 hours
Note: If you marinate for 1 hour leave on counter at room temp. Any longer, marinate in refrigerator and leave out 45 minutes before grilling.
Heat your grill pan or grill to medium. Pat lamb chops from marinade. Grill until medium rare.
