Chef Bob's Sweet Tea Chicken

4 ½ Chicken

1 Qt Brewed Tea Sweetened with sugar to taste, Cooled



4 Lemons

2 Cups Gold Rush BBQ Sauce

1 Table spoon Lemon Flavored instant Tea


In a deep pan, place chicken in cooled temp Sweet Tea. Let the chicken brine for 8 to 12 hours in refrigerator ,remove chicken and dust with salt and pepper.

Cook chicken in oven in uncovered roasting pan with rack at 300 degrees for one hour or until it reaches an internal temp of 165.   Once the chicken is cooked it may be chilled or finished right away by squeezing ½ a lemon on chicken and grill skin to a lite crisp.  

Grill the other half of the lemon fruit side down to serve as a garnish.  Chicken is served with grilled Lemon and Sweet Tea BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.  Mix one tablespoon of instant lemon flavored tea with 2 cups of Gold Rush BBQ sauce and serve.
