Cosimo's Restaurant & Catering launches their charitable program Cosimo's for a Cause this fall, marking its first season at their new location. Cosimo's for a Cause was created to raise money for schools and non-profit organizations in the Sarasota area.

Beginning in October, Cosimo's will host a fundraiser at the restaurant on select Tuesday evenings from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a designated school or charity. Cosimo's will then donate back 10% of every check from the evening (before tax and tip) to the featured organization.

General manager John Ganley says, "Cosimo's has been a part of this community for over 15 years and it's important to us to give back. Cosimo's for a Cause is one way we can support the causes and organizations that are important to our customers and to Sarasota."

Featured organizations are encouraged to rally their supporters, clients, staff, and family to dine at Cosimo's on their designated evening for a night out of great food, fun, and philanthropy. The first organization selected to start the season for Cosimo's for a Cause is the Community Youth Development (CYD). Launched in 1996, CYD serves thousands of middle and high school aged youth in Sarasota County each year. Through events, programs, and experiences, the CYD creates environments that cultivate leadership and support positive choices for teens. For more information about Community Youth Development, visit their website at www.cydonline.org or join us for dinner at Cosimo's on Tuesday, October 15, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., to support the programs of CYD. Reservations are encouraged by calling the restaurant at 941-922-7999.
