ABC 7 is expanding the size of its Weather Watcher members and we invite you to join them. We'll be hosting informative mini-seminars here at the WWSB studio to cover weather related topics and information gathering methods. You'll be able to share your data with our meteorologists and interact with them on a regular basis. We'll also post your pictures of weather and weather related topics on-air and online that you send to pix@mysuncoast.com
We gave away around two dozen ABC 7 Weather Kits this February during out "Weather Watch & Win" contests so our viewers can better participate as ABC 7 Weather Watchers.
On top of the daily drawing for Weather Watcher Kits, we gave away an iPad to one lucky person each week. And at the conclusion of our contest, we randomly selected seven finalists for our Grand Prize to try their luck at starting a new Kia Soul—courtesy of your Sunset Kia Dealers.
As luck would have it, Angel Wehlage of Sarasota had the winning key and started her brand new Kia Soul to the surprise and delight of everyone in attendance.
