SARASOTA - Authorities have arrested a Sarasota woman for driving under the influence with her daughter in the car and leaving her other 2 kids home alone.
According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, just after midnight deputies stopped 29-year-old Jennifer Calvillo for speeding and determined she was also driving under the influence with her 12-year old daughter in the car.
During the investigation deputies learned Calvillo had left her 3-year-old and 6-year-old sons home alone.
The Department of Children and Families was notified and a family member was called to take custody of all three children.
Calvillo is charged with one count of Driving Under the Influence, two counts of Child Neglect and one count of Resisting Arrest.
